Our Trendy Neighborhood

Lit up fantastically and full of people at night…no economic crisis here.

Inside the Acropolis Museum

Gorgeous glass flooring throughout and spectacular views of the Acropolis from within.

The Acropolis Throughout History

Spyros Louis

The dramatic Greek winner of the marathon at first modern Olympic Games held in Athens in 1896.  This silver cup was presented to him as a prize afterwards and has been able to be kept in Greece for over 100 years.

New Acropolis Museum

Built directly on top of an archaeological site that dates back at least to the 5-6th century B.C.

Jihye's 'Selfies'

Jihye's Friend

She was much more inclined to rub this one back.

Old Man Proposes to Jihye

Not quite the full proposal…but walked directly up to her, sat beside her, said they were friends already, put his hand on her thigh, and gave the wonderfully European suggestion of, "Let's go get a 'coffee'".  Must be the Greek in him.

Where is my Mind?

"I Thought It Was A Dentist's Chair."

Sometime the language barrier does provide for some classic humor.  She said she was glad no one else was in the museum to watch her take several photos of the 'dentist's chair.'
