King Leonidas

Giant bronze statue in front of a modern athletic field near the Ancient Sparta archaeological site.  Leonidas is the heroized character in the Hollywood film '300'.  A great quote on the base, "Come and take."  This is what Leonidas replied when the Persians and their far-superior numbers arrived and advised the Spartans to lay down their weapons.  "Come and take."
