Not sure the cause, but the entire city of Pyrgos is getting buried under countless hills and mountains of trash. Literally every other corner has one of equal or great size. During both our trips through the city, we saw a grand total of one being cleaned up with several dump trucks being filled by men using large 'snow' shovels piling trash bags into a bulldozer which hoisted and dumped them into the trucks to be hauled off to who knows where. Pretty unfortunate really, but the only city we have seen this in.
