Our host Rasa (hope the spelling is correct) is quite interested in Indian culture. She had a few pieces and displays set up around her apartment, and one night we discovered this bowl-shaped musical instrument. Basically it is like the vinegar around the top of a glass trick, it creates a beautiful sound that you keep going by running the wooden tool around the upper edge. It is surprisingly soothing and the first time Arunas played it for us, we kind of lost ourselves in it...very meditative.

Indian Meditative Instrument
