Lithuanian Ethnographic Open Air Museum

Our hosts were nice enough to offer to take us around their neighborhood a little bit.  We saw a lake we might go for a swim in tomorrow, and then off to a water mill and an area surrounding an ancient castle on a hill that is no more which reminded us greatly of the Latvian 'Ethnographic Open Air Museum' we spent a day touring in Riga, Latvia.  Large, beautiful remnants of a water mill, a 'dutch-style' windmill, and other assorted buildings.  On a slightly sour note, the 'museum' was set in a current-day neighborhood populated by poorer Russians.  Once again, a conspicuous leftover from the Soviet occupation era in all three of the Baltic States...a massive influx of Russians who have never left. (Riga, the capital of Latvia, is now reportedly 50% Russian)  Some of you might think the immigration debate in the US is a hot-button issue...
