Kids were standing back a full 10 meters, our motorbike drivers/guides were over 5 meters back, I hesitated and sensed danger…but the bravest of all of us, Jihye, joyfully moved right over towards it causing the wild poisonous snake to turn its head and prepare to strike. Fortunately we all got her attention and she stopped far enough away that the snake didn't feel too threatened. Our guides told us we were lucky as it is very rare to see this particular poisonous snake in the wild. Lucky indeed!
