Afterwards we went to a lovely park and were enjoying the views when Zoran suggested we head down to the river. We made our way over to the Korana River (it is a city of four rivers, so I hope I got the right one) and saw about 15-20 swans sitting on the water. He said we could feed them if we had any bread, and resourceful Jihye whipped out her crackers and went for it. Unbelievable, and a good 'peace pipe' moment for us after the traumatic experience of being chased, harassed and nearly assaulted by the swan while we kayaked in Gdansk, Poland. The swans here are clearly used to people interacting with them, and we spent the next half hour making friends of an entirely new sort.
