The most excited I have been about something during this trip. Bosnia and Herzegovina has recovered from the hell and horror of the war in the early to mid-1990's to qualifying for the World Cup finals on this very night and we are in Sarajevo to relish in the moment. Our host seemed genuinely proud, and judging by the next six hours of non-stop celebrations, so was the entire nation. CONGRATULATIONS BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, we could not be more proud or excited to be able to celebrate with you tonight. Here is to a much brighter future for us all!!!
(This video is the moment they won, with footage of celebrations which happened about 10 tram stops outside of the actual downtown Sarajevo...sorry about the cussing, but again, these are NOT just fireworks, you can probably see the camera shaking when the first one explodes just outside of our window)
