We have discovered some of the best wines we have ever sampled in and around the Balkan countries, from Moldova to our current location in Macedonia. Not sure if these are readily available where you may be reading this from, obviously local readers will have a much easier time finding them than our family and friends in the USA and South Korea. Grapes have been harvested recently and are abundant at all of the local markets and bazaars for unbelievably cheap prices. We would both recommend taking any and every chance to purchase and try any wine you can find from these 'uncommon' countries, Moldova, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, and Macedonia. We would assume the other nearby countries such as, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Bulgaria would be good as well, but we can't yet personally vouch for them. Cheers!
