November 17th Protest March

There is an annual march around the country to commemorate the dictatorial government's storming of a University in Athens several decades ago with tanks and killing several students.  Our host warned us not to take photos of protesters if we had a nicer camera and lens, as these protests often get out of hand and the many police and soldiers around are forced to intercede.  There were countless officers and riot police located all over the city and we often saw them moving to stay one step ahead of the march or moving parallel to the masses one street over.
