A small but raucous bunch gathered banging drums, blowing whistles, chanting, and eventually throwing eggs at the Bulgarian Parliament. We were surprised the police just stood and watched, despite the egg throwers standing no more than a meter in front of them. Plenty of yolk oozing down the side of the doors and walls.
