We soon realized that well over half of the other boats passing by us heading in the opposite direction were looking for handouts. They'd glide by and call out, 'Money, please.' The only, although major, flaw in their plan, was that it would be physically impossible to reach into your pocket while seated, pull out your wallet, choose the right amount and hand it to them, hopefully not dropping it into the water or having blow away in the breeze, all during the roughly two seconds flat it took for them to pass by us. By the end of the trip we started calling out and asking for, 'Money, please' before they even had the chance. Hell, I was paddling the boat with a twig, I deserved a little something too.
LOL...that made me laugh out loud.
