It is quite common to see memorials like this in many places around Sarajevo honoring the victims of the four year siege. Unfortunately we aren't able to read them and cannot be sure the story behind each memorial. However, the sheer number of them, along with the cemeteries, tell enough of a story that one need not read them literally to grasp what has happened here.
