Also shows the groove where a stone would have been rolled into place covering the opening. Recently a long piece of metal has been discovered in the wall which could well have been the spear the Romans used to tie the stone into place, and was later sheared off by the stone rolling away. No one can know for sure, but there are a great number of signs which point to this being the very place Jesus Christ was placed after his crucifixion and the very spot from which he arose three days later.
