The Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem is the largest in the world. What a spectacularly well thought-out and designed museum and grounds. We could easily have spent all day here. Our journey through Russia, the Baltic States, Poland, Berlin, Germany, and south through Hungary and the Balkans, to Greece and now here in Israel has exposed us to many memorials and heartbreaking reminders of the horrors of the Holocaust. And still, standing in the Hall of Names, it takes everything not to break down at the sheer overwhelming terror that was visited upon a people…
And personally, it makes watching present-day politicians explain why not doing anything in places such as Syria and South Sudan is the soundest policy just sound disgusting.
