Car Accident!!

Yep, in the short five minute ride from our apartment to the bus station in Sharjah, we were in a legitimate car accident.  Not just a simple fender bender or bump either, but a genuine smashing into the rear-end of a car ahead of us trying to merge into traffic.  Thankfully we were both hugging our big packs in our laps and that kept us safe, although we were still tossed around a bit.  And yep, the front end of our car was smoking and pushed in a couple of inches, hood bent in the middle and pieces missing all over.  The wildest part was the vehicle (a van) in front just drove off without exchanging any info., while our driver never muttered a word, hopped out to look at the damaged front end, then got back in wordlessly and finished driving us the final minute to the bus station.  We tried to get a photo once we were out, but he just drove off leaving us standing there, making sure we were both OK.  (and yes moms, we are perfectly fine!!)  Whew…
