We hung out while they got their bikes all set up to ride home. The older guy was force-feeding us the MOST DELICIOUS hamburger we have ever tasted. Had to laugh as McD's burger patties have shrunk down to the size of a dollar coin, while these damn things, available everywhere in Serbia, must have weighed 2 lbs!! After all of that, they offered to help us find our apartment, as it was dark and a new city, we took them up on the offer thinking that meant they would point us in the right direction. Nope! They walked us, with their fully-loaded bikes the entire way to our apartment halfway across the city. Unbelievable the kindness of strangers...in Serbia no less. Really having to recalibrate the entire view of the world, especially a place like this. Endless thanks guys!! You both made our arrival in Serbia entirely memorable!
