Not sure the correct term for it, going with altar. A constant stream of people entered, crossed themselves, and proceeded towards the works in the center of the cathedral, most bending forward and kissing each one, before moving on to kiss or kneel in front of several other icons, paintings, statues, sculptures, etc. Quite the religious diligence here.
