Our host had recommended a pub down the hill along the Buda side of the Danube river. We hunted it down tonight and turns out his girlfriend is the head bartender. They have the basic drinks, but the specialty is about 100 different kinds of Palinka. Since we were staying at Adam's, the first one was on the house. Niki was great company, had lots of information on which ones were good, and she is even into K-pop and Korean dramas and films, so she helped point us towards some big Asian marts to stock up on food for Jihye. Reminded me of the sake bars in Japan with all of the various flavors, honeyed and non-honeyed palinkas.
