Moscow Metro (subway)

Wow...the Moscow metro is breathtaking.  Each station could be a stand-alone museum.  Jihye had heard or read that the metro hear is famously deep underground, and sure enough, we rode the longest escalator I have ever seen to reach such beautifully decorated platforms full of Soviet-era artwork.  Aesthetically-stunning.  One could spend a week's vacation just traveling stop-to-stop and taking in all the varied works of the Moscow metro.  We never found any two stations anything alike.  One large regret of my time in Moscow is not taking more photographs and videos of the metro stations.
