As mentioned, our slower, 'local' train was scheduled to make 127 stops on the way to Moscow, Russia. Probably half of all of these stops were for a quick minute or two, just enough for someone to get on or off at their stop. However the other half of these stops could be 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and even one strange 71 minutes stop. These stop times weren't set in stone though, it was always STRONGLY recommended to stay next to the train at all times just in case we left earlier than expected. We only came close to missing the train once...although as you'll see, and unbeknownst to us, everyone around was watching out for us and always worried we wouldn't find our way back in time.
