As we walked through the Muslim cemetery, I started to notice the poor condition of many of the headstones, graves, even the stairs leading up towards higher graves. I may be wrong, but it seems like most of them have been purposely damaged or destroyed, fairly recently, and most have also been repaired in a very makeshift way. You can see in these two photos, one headstone seems to have been re-cemented back into place and supported by random rocks, while the other grave has been gouged in the middle and the headstone has been broken off, with the broken top half set along the back side of the grave.

Damaged Muslim Graves
