We were just making our way back into the Old City on our final afternoon in Jerusalem and Israel when we passed by the wooden entrance ramp to the Dome on the Rock, the holiest Muslim site. It isn't that simple of a process to even enter the area, but we checked the clock and saw we might have a chance. Jumped into a line of six other people. The first two gave up when the security guard turned them away, but a persistent woman behind them pleaded and got the security guard to give in and we rushed through before he could close the gate. Through security and up the ramp over the Western Wall and we had about 10 minutes to explore. Managed to see the three holiest sites, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim, in Jerusalem.
