Vice President Biden

Leaders from 19 countries are flying into Israel today for the funeral of Ariel Sharon.  We managed to get stuck on the bus early in the morning while US Vice President Biden's insanely long security detail drove past.  It was a solid three minutes or more of cars passing by.  But don't get me wrong, ALL traffic around Terminal 1 was stopped for about 30 minutes.  Once we did manage to get past and drive towards our gate, we saw three MASSIVE US Air Force cargo planes which obviously had just flown over and carried all of the vehicles and security forces.  I get that he needs to be protected, but it does seem over the top and superfluous.  Especially when the Russian delegation seemed to just hop off of their plane and drive away simply.  God Bless the all-important USA.
