One of the many large gates surrounding the Old City of Jerusalem. Interesting that none of them lead directly into the city, this one has a sharp 90 degree turn to the right. All in order to prevent an enemies' charging in to attack. And like we saw first-hand in the tower above Thessaloniki, Greece, many of these gates have holes above them where boiling hot liquids could be poured onto anyone trying to enter.
