After we found our way into the central bus station, we saw that buses were leaving for Jerusalem every 15 minutes. We took the chance to grab some food for the hour-long ride. Ended up trying to buy a slice of pizza for each of us, total cost, 10 shekels. Jihye always carries the coins, so she whipped out a 10 shekel and handed it over. The girl working behind the counter paused, and then handed it back and said, "It's no good." Huh?? I double-checked and she said it was counterfeit. I asked her how she knew and she just barely grinned and said, nodding at the busy food stand, "I work here a lot." Here is the close-up photos of our counterfeit coin and a real one, can you spot the differences?
