Noticed the traffic was stopped outside of our apartment window. Next thing we knew, even the touristy horse-drawn cart was stuck outside. Something must be going on. Sure enough, a massive running event about 2 blocks down. We bolted out of our apartment and caught a large part of the thousands of runners going past. We even managed to get ourselves right at the finishing line for the more 'professional' runners as they came in. (reminded us of one of April's friends who placed very highly in the tragic Boston marathon not long ago...we hope he continues to do well) Pretty exciting and a good start to the night.
(we also came across the friendliest husky we have ever met, couldn't even turn off the camera before he was up on his hind legs licking my face...I love you too husky)
