Fortunately the park gives the option to take a ferry across the largest of the lakes that we could hike around. We took them up on the offer and got plenty more majestic views while we did. Although we did bypass the much shorter second leg of the ferry ride offered, instead charging out for another couple hours of hiking through heaven.
