The Fountain of Life
Croatian is deservedly quite proud of Ivan Mestrovic, one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century. His works can be found all over Zagreb, all over the country, and all over the world in fact. Zagreb also has a large museum in his honor. I was fascinated with the the symbolism, expressions, and emotions the sculpture evokes. Extremely loving, passionate, painful, sad, and despairing at the same time, moving cyclically around perpetually. One could say a metaphor for life, but one would probably be about the six billion and first person to say that.
