Arriving in Budapest, Hungary

A quick seven hour bus ride after leaving Krakow and we find ourselves in Budapest, Hungary.  The main bus station is deep into the Pest side, so we took line 3 and transferred onto the 2 to get to Bettany Ter near our apartment.  We ride up the escalator and holy cow!!  Our apartment's location could not be better, directly under the Buda Castle, directly under Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion, directly at the Buda side of 'Chain' Bridge.  But the coup de grace for me was being across from the Hungarian Parliamentary building.  Firmly atop my favorite building list, this place was magical at night.  Great first impressions of Hungary and Buda and Pest that were never let down during our week here.
