Endless chimney stacks spreading out in every direction towards the horizon. This camp could hold upwards of 100,000 prisoners. The older structures had been made out of bricks, but later the Nazis built the barracks out of wood, which is why many of them were burned and destroyed as the Nazis hastily retreated from here towards the end of WWII. All that remains of many of them are the solitary chimney stacks.
