Our favorite supermarket in Poland for so many reasons. Easy to find, incredibly cheap, but most of all we love the name. It means 'ladybug', but it pronounced 'BE-DRUNK-A'. We keep laughing when we hear words we associate as being cute or soft pronounced in Russian, or German, and now Polish. They can come out sounding so gruff and hard and strong, but still be something as innocent as a butterfly, I love you, or in this case, ladybug.
BIEDRONKA!!
(We were particularly pleased as on this day they had a sushi making kit as well as several other 'Asian'-style foods, sauces, and seasonings.)
