Over the centuries that these mines have been here, miners would carve sculptures in their free time and have created an amazing museum out of solid salt. This is Nicolaus Copernicus who visited the mines in his day. Other interesting visitors have been Goethe, Humboldt, Chopin, Mendeleyev, Karol Wojtyla (later Pope John Paul II), and even President Bill Clinton. And now us!
