The most poignant structure here. The 3-story barracks. Designed to do exactly this, let the top two floors give way to bombing, while the base floor would remain standing and protected. Certainly can't imagine touring a site like this in the US, the flooring and walls here seem like they could cave in at any moment. Such a hellish memorial really serves to paint the picture of war. Seven days of this?? I cannot even begin to imagine the bravery.
